Midway is thrilled to announce two of its properties, The Jones on Main and GreenStreet, have achieved Fitwel certification.

Fitwel is a rigorous, healthy building certification system operated by the Center for Active Design (CfAD) that sets the industry standard for strategies to promote positive health outcomes for building occupants and communities.

GreenStreet achieved a one-star rating from Fitwel, scoring strongly in those categories dedicated to proximity to area transit, connectivity to the outdoors and food and beverage offerings from employees and the public alike. GreenStreet is the first commercial property certified in Texas, demonstrating Midway’s commitment to advancing the well-being of their employees and communities by implementing design and operational strategies that promote health and wellness.

The Jones on Main, the historic landmark building that is a combination of modern workspaces and innovative retail, is the first multi-tenant property in Houston to receive this designation and the second in Texas. The Jones on Main boasts a Walk Score of 98 (out of 100), dedicated lactation rooms for tenants, a green purchasing policy and is in process of creating an outdoor space for tenants with a rooftop patio and restorative garden.
